The Bud

I've always been captivated by the flower bud. It is a tiny, undeveloped version of the flower, full of promise. Next to its fully bloomed sibling, which reveals what it will become, the bud sits quietly, brimming with untapped potential, hiding its beauty until time and nature fully conceive it.

There's so much potential for metaphor in a bud, yet our observation is drawn to the flower, overlooking the promise held within. This visual juxtaposition reveals beauty to that which is achieved and possibility to that which is yet to be.

I invite you to take a brief pause the next time you come upon a flower bud and reflect on its beauty from within. There is more there than meets the eye. :)

Thanks for stopping by.
